Intro to “Punk Locks”
Introductions are my favorite! While you get to see the work they do, and maybe a little inside on who they are as a person while you are in their chair, I thought it would be fun to share a little bit about each of our SALON OWNERS and have some fun while doing it. So without further ado…I will be introducing our first business owners, Jade Landry and Deanna Bigelow with “Punk Locks”.
5 Facts about Deanna and Jade
1) Q: What sparked your interest to be in the salon industry?
Jade- I’ve had a lifelong interest in this industry. My mother and father were both hairdressers, and growing up in the salon, I watched them impact people’s lives on a daily basis. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a part of that.
Deanna- I wanted to empower people and make them feel their best self.
2) Q: Who do you look up to the most and why?
Deanna- My Dad, for always pushing me to do more. His sense of realism and dedication to his family has inspired me to work as hard as I have in what I love.
Jade- My mother, for always supporting me and doing so much for myself and my brother. We’ve had our ups and downs but love and respect for her is unconditional.
3) Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Jade- I see myself married and in a successful business endeavor with my wife and best friend. I see myself driving further into platform artistry and educating on hair techniques on stage at hair shows and online.
4) Q: What about the industry do you love the most?
Deanna- I find that connecting with people and understanding what they need to feel the most like themselves when they leave is the most rewarding part of my job.
Jade- I love that we, as hairdressers, are on the cutting edge of modern trends and we get to utilize our expertise and artistic minds to bring those trends to our clientele!
5) Q: What motivates you to succeed?
Jade- My drive to succeed stems from being too dumb to quit and too stubborn to back off.
Deanna- The motivation to succeed feels like it’s hardwired in, there’s no other option.

Something that My husband and I observed about these two are that they have such a balance. They both have drive but Deanna calms Jade and Jade brings energy into Deanna’s life, very much like Travis and I.
I see so much potential in this couple as they grow their career and future together. We have loved getting to know them and felt an immediate connection to them that we feel will be lifelong.
